In this seminar, Parents and children(ages 9-13) will come together to learn how to create a godly family. Parents will learn how to love, teach, discipline, and disciple their children the way God intended and create a plan to execute these learning’s. Children will learn the importance of obeying their parents and how to guard their hearts against the things of the world like television, internet, friends and music. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Parents will come to understand their role as God intended it based on Deuteronomy 6 and that is it all starts with them. We will cover 5 key principles of godly parenting. Parents will have an opportunity to develop a vision and goals for their family as well as outline a plan for their child’s spiritual development.
Children of Christian parents often times feel like their parents are against them and don’t understand them. They think their parents are from Mars and have a different set of rules than other parents.
In this session, children will come to understand that God has given parents authority over them and He is holding parents accountable for their actions. They will come to understand why Christian parents have different rules from the world. Children will also come to understand how television shows, music and friends can influence their choices in life and prevent them from being the godly children God wants them to be.
In this workshop families will learn a fun and powerful way to discover God's truths from the Bible. They will observe, interpret and apply the Bible with games, puzzles and more! Families will become inductive Bible detectives with these awesome techniques. Parents and children will learn how studying the Bible is essential in developing godly character.
Many parents have not talked to their children about salvation. In this session, we will cover in a fun and interactive way –why we need to be saved, the need for everyone to make an individual decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and what God expects from us once we make this decision and that is to follow Him.
Parents and children will learn how words affect feelings and feelings affect behavior in this interactive seminar. Parents and children will learn effective ways to communicate with one another.
It is important that families spend time building relationship not only with God but with themselves. We have built in tons of fun. Some of the fun requires that parent and children work together to solve a problem or they might have to just do something silly. No matter the situation; they will have lots of fun.
General Conference Info
Our Building Godly Family conference is for parents and children grades 3rd-8th. Each of the sessions in the Building Godly Family conferences examines God’s Word as the foundation of the area of focus. The seminars are scripturally based and are a good mixture of fun, humor, and practical instruction. The conference is a great opportunities to invite unchurched families in the community. Each seminar is taught using the Bible and a workbook especially prepared by My Child’s Heart Ministry. The workbook is filled in as the seminar is presented and also includes projects to be completed at home. The at home exercises are to encourage the continuation of the material learned in the seminar and to encourage people to be doers and not hearers only of God’s Word.

Our conference cost includes a flat rate* plus a cost per person in attendance.

* The flat rate can be paid by the church or added on to the attendee rate/person and passed on to the registrants. It is up to the church's discretion. The flat rate is paid as a deposit. It is 100%refundable if you cancel 14 days in advance of the event date. It is 50% refundable less than 14 days
Conference Schedule
The complete conference includes 5 teaching sessions plus fun activities for the family. We recommend that you start the seminar between 9:30-10:00 am on a Saturday. The One day sessions require about 8 hours which includes 45 minutes for lunch.
Conference Set Up Requirements
1.) We will need one room that will accommodate parents and children.
2.) Two break out rooms for separate parent only and child only sessions
3.) A large gymnasium or room for fun time
4.) Area for lunch
5.) Podium with microphone
6.) Screen for projection( If you do not have one please let us know in advance and we can make arrangements and additional cost may apply.)
7.) LCD Projector (If you do not have one please let us know in advance and we can make arrangements and additional cost may apply.)
We will need access to these rooms 2 hours prior to scheduled event.
