God is the author of the home and has sought through his word to regulate, mold, and form the home to where it is an ideal place for the legitimate fulfillment of the physical, social, and emotional needs of men and women (Gen. 2: 18 ff.). The home is also the perfect arrangement and environment for the upbringing of children (Eph. 6: 1-4).

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates. This means that from the time you wake until the time you go to bed, God is your leader and your focus. When it comes to your children, you are doing everything that it takes to help them know God and establish a relationship with God.
