The Road to a Mature Christian!
God expects us to grow closer to Him each day. To be successful at raising godly children, we must first be godly. The do as I say and not as I do does not work today. Your children will imitate your behavior whether it is good or bad. They will learn what it means to be a Christian by what you do if you claim to be saved. Will your behavior cause them to sin or obey God? Matthew 18:6 (NIV) tells us, “But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” What are you doing or not doing that will cause your children to sin? Are you going to church regularly, forgiving others, exhibiting the fruit of the spirit, using wholesome words and obeying God?

Having a relationship with God fills all the voids in our life. When things are not going my way, when my husband is not responding to me the way I feel, when I go into my woe is me song, I have to realize that God's love is sufficient for me. Without this knowledge and understanding, my life would be so different.
